FAQ's
We have two methods available for popping our popcorn!
- Kettle Popped
- Air Popped
Kettle popped popcorn is cooked in a kettle with oil, and sometimes sugar. The kettle is heated until the popcorn pops, at which point, our cooks will dump the corn out of the kettles, creating a crunchy, delicious popcorn.
Air popped popcorn is cooked without oil, in a chamber filled with moving hot air. As the corn pops, it is pushed out of the chamber, ensuring nothing gets overcooked, and creates a healthier, lighter popcorn.
We have multiple options for seasoning regardless of our cooking process!
For both the Air Popped & Kettle Popped lines we have automated seasoning drums set up that offer different methods of seasoning.
- Oil spray with dry seasoning application, which applies the programmed amounts simultaneously to the popcorn in the drum
- Slurry application, which mixes dry and/or liquid seasonings with oil and applies to the popcorn together
- A combination of dry and slurry applications
- Flavors or colors added to our kettles during cooking

If you can dream it, we can make it! Poptime has many different flavor profiles we currently work with, however if you are interested in something that we dont currently have in our range, we are happy to work with you to R&D a new item!
